Protecting Your Car Lights With Headlamp Protectors
Protecting your car from damage is a very simple way of not only keeping it looking
like new but also a good way of ensuring that when you come to sell it you will get the maximum value possible.
Protecting the boot area against the damage that can be caused by daily use is a simple matter of fitting something that will help to protect the original carpet. There are a range of solutions to meet this problem.
The quickest and easiest way to protect the original boot carpet is by fitting a boot mat. These made to measure mats are tailor made to fit the shape and contours of the boot, leaving none of the original boot carpet exposed. Often available in a range of styles and colour coordination, a boot mat simply fits over the boot carpet for extra protection. Many manufacturers offer reversible boot mats. One side finished in textile and the reverse featuring a rubberised finish. The boot mats are easy to fit and remove for cleaning as required.
For added protection the fitting of a boot tray or boot liner is a viable option. Unlike a boot mat the boot tray or boot liner tends to come as either a rigid, or a semi rigid format. Again model specific, like the boot mat the boot trays and boot liners are tailored to fit the shape and size of the boot. Unlike the boot mat the boot tray and boot liner will usually be made in some form of moulded plastic. Featuring raised sides the boot trays or boot liners usually feature raised sides to help contain any small liquid spills.
The boot trays and boot liners are ideal for people who use their vehicles for transporting numerous items in the rear of their vehicle. Be those items dirty football boots and bikes from their children or more substantial items that may be dirty or possibly damage the original boot carpet, fitting a boot tray boot liner or boot mat will provide that much needed added protection.
Headlamp Protectors and Beam Converters
Headlamp protectors are designed to be fitted to the headlamps of your vehicle to help protect the lenses from the possibility of damage that can be caused when stones and other road debris is thrown up during transit.
The standard headlamp protector is usually made of a clear plastic, although some do feature a tinted effect for a more, sporty look. The headlamp protectors are quick and easy to fit over the existing headlamps of the car. The headlamp protectors can be left permanently in place, even when the vehicle is put through a car wash.
Fitting a set of headlamp protectors is a far cheaper alternative than having to replace a headlamp because of damage caused by a stone or some other road debris.
Headlamp protectors are often supplied or used with a beam converter. The beam converter, often no more than a clip on blank, is designed to stop the headlamps from shining into the left side of the road. Beam converters are a legal requirement when travelling in many overseas, where headlamps used without beam converters, even when on low beam, can dazzle other drivers on the road.
