This will guarantee that your child can't get their curious hands into medicine bottles or sharp objects. Always store your medication in their original bottles and verify that they have child-resistant caps. Also make sure that your child doesn't have easy access to razors or nail clippers, because they could easily injure themselves.

Once you've finished securing your medicine cabinet and vanity, begin removing any type of locks on the door that your child could reach. Why? Well, you don't want your child to be able to lock themselves in the bathroom. The nightmare of having your child trapped within bathroom walls while you desperately attempt to open the door without avail is quite the scary thought.

Next, you're going to have to get rid of the habit of leaving your electric devices out in the open, or even worse yet, plugged in and accessible to your children. Also make sure that your child doesn't have easy access to the bathtub. This can result in drowning as well.

Now that we've mentioned the bathtub, remember that this will require a lot of childproofing. Begin by resetting the water heater to 120 degrees Fahrenheit in order to remove any chance of your child burning themselves with scalding water. Also note that your child may slip in the bathtub or shower, so purchase nonslip stickers for the floor, as well as rubber guards for the faucets. Make sure to locate bathmats throughout the bathroom floor as well.
