When producing a pub quiz often there needs to be more than just several rounds based on general knowledge otherwise they can become a bit too long. One of the best and fairly straight forward rounds to create are picture quiz rounds and are a favorite with people who participate in the night. Here's a run down on how to compile one.
First select how many pictures you are going to use 10, 15 or 20. The common is 10 as they usually fit nicely on one A4 piece of paper. Remember the more pictures you have the longer your pub quiz will take.
Now you need to see what theme you are going to use for your picture quiz round. Celebrities, Famous places, Food items, utensils etc are good ones but there lots of options out there, you may even choose a local themed picture round for your pub quiz. When using pictures remember you have to make sure that you are not breaking copyright laws if taking them off of the Internet. Usually celebrity pictures cost money per usage and aren't cheap but there are such things as public domain material that can be used.
Now design your page layout with each picture being the same size across the A4 paper. You want people to be able to chat with other team members in the pub quiz so larger than A4 can become messy with people spilling drinks on them. So if you have ten pictures then set your paper to landscape and put a table in of 5 columns by 4 rows. Leave enough room at the top to be able to put "Team:_____________________" and at the bottom "Score___".
Now insert your pictures making sure that they are all the same size by using photo editing software. Put one picture in at a time in cells on the first row until you have all 5 in. Pub quizzes are usually held at night and are darker than normal so be sure to make them clear as possible.
In the next row make sure that the text format is to the left and put numbers 1 to 5 in them. This is for the answers to be placed directly underneath the picture.
Now repeat steps 4 and 5 but put them instead in rows 3 and 4 in the picture pub quiz.
Once you have all the pictures in their place on your quiz master pub quiz sheet write all the answers down 1 to 10 sounds obvious but amazing how people forget this on a quiz night when they are unsure of everyone.
Extra things to do if the pictures are too easy.
Put a mask over them.
If close to a famous date such as Christmas then put a santa hat and beard on reducing the amount of the person showing
Put them behind picture bars.
