Pueraria Mirifica grows in primarily in Thailand, although it also grows in the under developed countries of Burma and Laos. two compounds there is no way to accurately measure these compounds in the plant. Thai academic chemists have advised me they just don't have the budgets. Recently with the availability of some small amounts of chromenes in several academic settings their have been legitimate testing results for chromenes. The results demonstrated that deoxymiroestrol and miroestrol indeed co-existed in the roots. In one study using commercial supplements, in the highest quality samples deoxymiroestrol contributed the

highest estrogenic contribution although miroestrol was dominant in quantity. In another

study done on roots harvested in the wild by academics bought immediately back to the laboratory for preparation went as follows: deoxymiroestrol was far dominant in quantity vs. miroestrol. Of course deoxymiroestrol is far dominant in activity. This suggests at least for now that companies using wild pueraria mirifica because of crude or delayed processing techniques are delivering compromised pueraria mirifica and hence compromised products. Deoxymiroestrol is quite volatile and readily oxidizes to miroestrol. Further studies will be needed for to notion to be confirmed.
