The Punjab Cricket Association , with the head office situated in mohali , has a history of producing world class cricketers.Prominent cricketers which the Punjab Cricket Association has given are Yuvraj Singh,Harbhajan Singh,Yograj Singh,Bhupinder Singh.The president of the Punjab Cricket Association is MR.Inderjeet Singh Bindra who has also worked as the chairman of the BCCI and also as an official of the ICC.

Unfortunately , when we talk about the Ranji Trophy , then it can be seen that Punjab has lifted the Ranji Trophy only once.But this season,there are loads of hopes from this team as the selectors have made several changes in the team and added many young and talented players in the squad.When we talk about the youngsters which would be seen in action , then the most notable player would be Rajat Sharma.Rajat Sharma , is a cricketer from Chandigarh who is known for his quick bowling.In the katoch shield , Rajat took 8 wickets in his very first match which really impressed the selectors.The other notable players would be Sarul Kanwar and Uday kaul who also are new to the Ranji Trophy.

Along with the young guns , there are other experienced players in the punjab team like Yuvraj Singh,Pankaj Dharmani,Manpreet Gony.So , it can be seen that Punjab has a perfect blend of young and the experienced players which would give it a perfect combination of aggression and intelligence.
