Selecting a used conference table can actually be an easier selection than a used cubicle
, seating or used desks. Used conference tables, like used desks usually come in two main finishes laminate and veneer. If you are after durability with a lower price point a laminate finish maybe best for you. If you are after long lasting durability with the ability to re-finish than a veneer finish would work. The choice is up to your preferences and price point.

One of the first things you need to do is measure the space where the conference table will sit. A good rule of thumb is to have 48 of free space on each side of the conference table, most the time this will leave an adequate amount of isle and chair space. So if you measure the length of the room and subtract 96 you will have the appropriate conference table size while avoiding clutter. If you are adding a buffet credenza or other conference room furniture the widths need to be added accordingly.
The next step would be to select a table shape. Conference table shapes are a dime a dozen in today's office furniture market, the most popular shapes being racetrack, rectangle and boat shaped. Some of the less used conference table shapes would be sight line or the classic v shape, these shapes really facilitate video conferencing and can allow your conference room to double as a training room.
After you have found the size and shape, you need to know whether your used conference table needs power, data or both. Conference tables today can be found with literally hundreds of different power and data options. If the used conference table you are viewing has a power and data option be sure and check to see if the table would be hard wired or has a conduit to plug into the wall, some office spaces don't facilitate a wired connection trough the floor although most do. When thinking of conference table power and data dwell on how many laptops or people in general would use the power conduits. If your office has a wireless connection which most do nowadays you don't need to worry about data ports.
Used conference tables really are one of the easier office furniture decisions. With a little know how you can select a conference table that fits your room, style and budget.
