Purchasing an Art Reproduction

I remember my days first days in college when I first arrived in my dorm room. It was a thrilling experience having my first independence from my parents and as such....wanted to put my own personal touches. So, within 2 days I had art prints all over the walls. Picasso, Miro, and George Michael to be specific. It was my own way of making my mark of independence and would be a sign of things to come - I went on to change my major to interior design.

As things happen in life, I got older, and 3 years ago my husband and I bought our first house. I was filled with similiar feelings that I had from my college days - a sort of mixture of independence and pride - I was moving up in the world! This time, though, having art prints on the walls didn't seem like enough - after all, I'm an interior designer and need to put artwork on my walls that reflect both me as a person and my profession. I simply can't have clients and friends over for dinner with posters on the walls. It was then I began my research into finding oil painting reproductions. I knew that someone out there should be able to paint for me "Starry Night" if I wanted it. It turns out there are quite a few studios out there that do just that. After widdling down my list to 2 or 3, I decided to go with a studio that also provided framed paintings. The entire process took about 3 weeks, and it arrived promply from UPS about 3 1/2 weeks later. I'm not sure what I was expecting, but what turned up went above and beyond my expectations. The oil painting was spectacular, and you could clearly see that it was an oil painting with distinct brush strokes on the canvas. I've used the company for 3 years now, and I will never go back to art prints again. My house is now filled with oil paintings of Picasso, Miro, Van Gogh, and Renoir.
