Do pay heed to all the emails and letters, even if they are not from the list of your preferred colleges. Not replying to such communication means you are not interested, and in this way you lose opportunities. Who knows, the last choice may turn out to be the only one you have eventually.

It is of utmost importance to be professional while looking for athletic scholarships. Remember there are no second chances in life. Your first impression on the coach and administrators will be the best one. Any form of irresponsibility or immaturity may cost you. Also maintain respect of the other persons involved, because the coach is not the only person who makes the final decision.
