We hear about magic in relationships but sometimes we have a hard time capturing it in our own lives

. We get busy, other things get in the way and bringing back the spark gets pushed to the back burner. As a result, our relationships become dull and boring. Now don't get me wrong, dull and boring can be comfortable and reassuring. But, every now and again it is important to feel the magic once again. So what can you do to bring that magic into your life?

Do the Unexpected in a Routine Way

In your ordinary life, try to do something for your partner that they would never expect. Maybe it is something as simple as filling their car up with gas or doing the dinner dishes. It is amazing how little, everyday things can really make someone's day. Yes the special events and gifts really make a splash, but showing that you care enough to help with chores is a great way to express your love. In addition it really makes the other person feel great!

Do the Unexpected in a Special Way

On the flip side, everyone likes to feel special once in a while. You don't have to go all out or spend a lot of money. Just do something extra that lets your person know that you are thinking about them. Perhaps you can add a special note to their lunch or tucked inside a briefcase. A sweet email or text message during the work day to let them know you care. These things don't cost anything but they are worth a million to the recipient. All it takes on your part is a little extra effort and the effort is worth your love isn't it?

Unexpected Gift

Of course gifts are expected on the big days like anniversaries and birthdays, but what about 'just because' days? Those are the best times to give a gift because it is unexpected. If you really want to make an impression on your wife, send her flowers at work. This is always a hit because all the coworkers see and admire them. You will win brownie points with both your wife and all the people she works with. Did your husband get a promotion? Make him his favorite dinner and then give him a massage. Men like to be catered to with food and touch. He will be very happy if he has a full stomach and a loving rub down!

Always Be There

No one's life is perfect. We all have our bad days and trying times. Just being there as a shoulder to cry one, someone to vent to, or just for a comforting hug goes a long way to showing your love. Tough times are rough for everyone involved, but when you are there to support and comfort your partner will truly feel your love. Don't be a fair weather spouse - stick with them through thick and thin!

Putting the magic into a relationship doesn't consist of romantic dinners and expensive gifts. Those things are nice and they have their place. But showing genuine love with actions and words are the best ways to have a truly magical relationship.
