Putting Up A Bamboo Parasol

Putting up a bamboo parasol to be used with expensive or discount teak garden furniture

should be a straightforward task, but like many things can be a bit tricky the first time and gets easier with practice.

It may sound obvious, but first ensure your table as part of your cheap teak garden furniture set has a parasol hole. Plus, if your table has not got any additional means of supporting your parasol, you will also require a parasol stand for security. Once done, follow these simple steps:

1.Make sure that the parasol fits through your table hole and into your parasol stand if applicable. Sizes do vary.

2.Away from your discount teak garden furniture, carefully stand up the parasol vertically and hold it close to your chest.

3.Once stable, with the aid of a friend, lift it onto the table. This may best be accomplished with one of you already standing on the table. Avoid damage to your cheap teak garden furniture by standing on an old newspaper or some card.

4.At all times keep the parasol as vertical as possible and avoid it swaying about, since this will make it unmanageable.

5.Once on the table, holding the parasol stand over the parasol hole, slowly lower the parasol pole down through the hole. If you are inserting the pole into an additional base, you may require help guiding it into the bases sleeve.

6.Once in place, if using a base; tighten any adjusting screw to secure the parasol does not move.

7.Finally, if unfamiliar with putting up your new parasol, take a few moments to ensure all the struts are not caught in the canopy and are able to move freely.

8.To erect your canopy, stand firmly on the ground and pull slowly on the pulley and rope system; securing it at the desired height with the attached pin. If the parasol refuses to rise, do not use force but check that nothing is stopping the struts from opening, such as packaging.
