Do you now suffer from Lack of Pontiacitis? Are you still struggling to understand why the brain trust at GM decided to put the kibosh on one of the greatest car lines ever? Can you believe that no more new Ponti's will be rolling off the production lines here in Michigan - or anywhere else??? Sonny Boy Williamson wrote a tune back in the 50's called the Pontiac Blues, and like the Yardbirds and Animals who covered it in the 60's, I've really got them! What a rotten deal!

Named for a legendary Indian Chief, Pontiacswere introduced to the public from a city of thesame name,back in 1926. With some classic lines, these were always great looking cars to drive. Pontiac joined the Muscle Car Era of the 60's souping up its Tempest with the GTO. It followeda short time laterwith the Fire Bird. The girls always loved to ride in those big boatBonnevilles, Grand Prix's, and Catalinas, too! God knows, you could get the entire football team in one of them -WITH the cheerleaders!!!

There was nothing better than cruising Woodward on a Friday or Saturday night in a Pontiac. From the Fair Grounds to Wide Track Drive, it was a nifty ride. Lots to do and see, lots of revving and racing, lots of parking and eating, it was always better in a Pontiac!!! Iwill alwayslove the Pontiacs, and have had many during my lifetime. I will likely try to gather an older classic ( or two.... )as well to carry meover.I refuse tolet those fools at GM spoil the good times and the good rides for me - and you shouldn't either. We have to do whatever we can - to keep on maintaining them and keep on driving the cars that matter most to us. The Pontiacs!
