Qantas' Dallas Fort Worth-sydney Flights To Operate Daily
Australia"s flag carrier, Qantas Airways announced yesterday that it is going to
amplify its flight operation on the Dallas/ Fort Worth (DFW) "" Sydney route.
The airline currently offers four flights per week on the route and hopes to increase it to six flights per week from 15th January 2012 and finally to seven per week from 1st July 2012.
Qantas began its operations to DFW in May 2011 and made it possible for the Australians to conveniently access a wide range of destinations all over the United States via one of the country"s leading hub airports, DFW. Boeing 747-400ER, a three-class aircraft, is deployed on the popular route.
"We are very pleased with the great news that Qantas has increased its commitment to the Dallas/Fort Worth area, and that our airport is proving to be a valuable partner for expansion," Jeff Fegan, CEO of DFW International Airport was quoted by news.
"Qantas is adding a significant amount of capacity here at DFW, showing that our airport is a world-class connection point convenient to virtually any major city on the globe," he added.
What really works for DFW and the travellers is Qantas" oneworld alliance partnership with American Airlines! This alliance opens up a number of different avenues for travellers as they have a large number of code share options available to them. Budget travellers are perhaps most benefited as their quest for cheap flight tickets will probably yield richer conclusions once a number of alternatives are available in the market. Qantas and American Airlines are also authorised by ACCC for joint business agreement.
In a bid to keep travellers even happier and to promote the flight circuit, Qantas has also come up with a special fare sale that will be available till 10th October and will be good for travel between 15th January and 31st August 2012. It surely is a wonderful opportunity for travellers to grab those elusive cheap flight tickets with Qantas Airways.
"We are delighted to be offering more frequent flights to Dallas/Fort Worth after the successful launch of the route," Rob Gurney, Group Executive Qantas Airlines Commercial, was quoted in a company press release that was released yesterday.
"This announcement is all about putting our gateway strategy into action and building a stronger Qantas International for our customers.
"As the only direct service from Australia beyond the US west coast, it gives Australians access to the country"s fourth-largest metropolitan economy and to Texas" unique tourism experiences," he continued.
The increase in flight frequency is going to make travel between North America and Australia more convenient and will also impact economy of the region. As per DFW Airport estimates, once on track, Qantas" daily operations will have an economic impact of $200 million annually.
