Quality Ncert Answers For A Great Score!

Students sometimes adopt a laidback attitude while attempting the end-of-chapter NCERT questions

. While writing solutions to the NCERT questions, a casual approach will not only hamper the quality of NCERT answers but also reduce chances of scoring great marks in the final CBSE examinations.

Since most of the questions asked in the final exams are either from the end-of-chapter list of NCERT questions or are based on them with minor changes in the language or mathematical values. Therefore, students should practice caution and be very careful as they write their NCERT answers. To score high grades in the final examination, students should master the art of writing quality NCERT answers along with the technique of customizing their answering style as they write the answers to the different subjects.

Here are a few subject-specific pointers that will help students to draft quality NCERT answers as per the requirements of the different subjects.

English - While framing the NCERT answers for a subject like English, students should first give the entire chapter a thorough read. After reading the chapter, students can then choose to write a 100-150 word summary of the chapter expressing the writers point of view in their own words. Doing so will help stimulate the thinking process amongst the students and will also equip them with the skill of effectively using original words and expressions. While writing the NCERT answers for English, students should try to be original. Self-composed and grammatically correct answers will help students fetch more marks than merely reproducing the answers as available in the solution booklet by printed by a variety of publishers.

Maths - The foremost thing that students should keep in mind while practicing NCERT Maths questions is the accuracy of the in-between calculations. An error at any step while arriving at the NCERT answer in Maths can make the entire effort go waste. Therefore, while performing these calculations students should practice utmost caution. However, students can score some valuable marks inspite of a wrong answer. While practicing the NCERT questions for Maths, students should write all the in-between steps in the answers since important marks are usually allotted for correct steps that can make valuable difference in the overall score. For reference, students can also seek help from the solved examples available in the NCERT book prior to the practice exercises. Where ever necessary, students should support their NCERT answers with relevant graphics for a complete clarity of the answer.

Social Sciences - While framing NCERT answers for Social Sciences, students often commit a common mistake of equating lengthy answers with a great score in the exam. However, this is not the case. In order to score well in the exams students should focus on writing quality and complete answers within the prescribed word limit. Students should also learn to modify their answers keeping in mind the specific keywords in the questions such as Explain, Classify, Differentiate etc.

Science - Before starting to write the NCERT answers students should first gain a thorough conceptual understanding of all the topics involved in the chapter. Once all the concepts in the chapter are clear, students should then start working on the end-of-chapter NCERT questions. While framing the NCERT answers for Science, students should write to-the-point answers and support them, with relevant diagrams and illustrations. While writing NCERT answer, students should try to stick to the prescribed word limit and not write lengthy answers.
