Quick Effective Solutions For Slow Computers
Do you have a computer that runs too slowly? Ever been waiting for your computer to boot up while you sit there tapping your fingers impatiently? Or go to the kitchen to fill up your coffee cup while your PC loads up? It can indeed be a very frustrating experience. And it is even worse the more you use your computer.
The cause of this frustrating problem can be plain and simple. Odds are, among maybe a few other things as well, is that your registry is running too slow. There are many causes for a slow computer, and sometimes it can be a combination of several things. Here are examples of three of the most common causes of this slow computer performance:
(1). The most prevalent one of all, is the computer 'Virus'. A virus can very easily be the root of all your problems. And there's a chance you have more than just one. But if you are smart enough to have an anti-virus program installed on your computer, then not to worry.(Unless it's outdated).
A good thing to do with your anti-virus software, is to schedule regular automatic scans. Most any of these programs are equipped to do this. You can set them for times you are off the computer, because sometimes even though they run in the background, they can interfere with the operation of other programs. AVG is one example of a free anti-virus software, although they do offer paid ones as well. McAfee is a good one, along with Norton and Panda.
(2). Coming in at second place, is the Spyware and Adware slow downs. Both of these types of nuisances are software programs that get put onto your computer without your knowledge. When you are surfing the web, they come through your internet door. They are designed to gather information about how you surf, and where you surf, and send that information to a hacker or a thief. Some of these are more malicious than others. For the more malicious ones, use A-Squared anti-adware to get rid of them.
(3). The third thing you can check is your computer's Windows registry. What the registry is like, is a storehouse of all things that exist on your computer at the current moment. It has information concerning your hardware and software alike. And programs downloaded onto your computer, can be found listed in your registry.
It's not a good idea if you don't have any training, to just go into your registry and try to fix things yourself. You may cause far more damage than you already have. The registry is a huge database, and if you delete something you need, you could live to regret it. But not to worry, they make software programs just for this purpose. You can make use of one, and have your registry back in shape in no time.
Yes, a registry cleaner can most definitely clean up the errors that exist within your registry. These errors can cause freezes, crashes, and really slow running of your computer. A good registry cleaner can make all these symptoms disappear, and have you surfing again like you just brought the PC home. They can 'optimize' your computers' performance.
Do you fell that your computer's performance and speed is getting slower and slower? Do you want to speed it up and get back it's peak performance?
