Other options for the layout of the drawers include a pair of drawers in the top or bottom half of the base only; large drawers in the bottom with narrower ones in the top of the base to allow the bed to be placed between a headboard with bedside cabinets; and drawers in the top half of a base with a large drawer fitted in the end of one half of the base, to provide three drawers the one in the end of the bed being considerably larger than the other two.
