RMRC Day Explained by a Cardiff Based Marine Who Passed
This article will explain athe day of my PRMC and some of the stuff that I went through on the day. Hopefully it will help those future people who try the PRMC to be as successful as myself.
Friday (the day we will be leaving for the PRMC) came and compared to last year I felt not up for it. Last year I was nervous and constantly thinking about it, but this year I wasn't. I guess this is because I knew that I trained to the best of my ability and had prepared. As the day progressed I was starting to getting excited and look forward to the challenges that lay ahead. I remembered this year to have a big lunch as last year we didn't eat until breakfast the next morning. I finished work, picked up my kit and off I went to meet the lads. The traffic was terrible I managed to arrive just on time. Everyone was in high spirits talking about what faced us. We got to CTCRM at about 2130 and then had to wait around for other detachments to arrive. Once they had arrived, around 2230, it was off to the lecture room for mandatory lectures. These took us up to 00:30. They consisted of the normal Health & safety, what we were letting ourselves in for, security and foot care. We finally got put into our rooms around 0100 and knowing that we had to be up at 05:15 we all got ready for bed. I managed to close my eyes about 0130 and think I fell asleep pretty much straight away.
