Reading Poetry on Line - Talk About Instant Gratification
This article is written in order to encourage the art and reading of poetry and of
articles that are available on the Internet in any language, by using the easy translations feature that accompanies most every computer today.
There is no excuse today for not reading or listening to poetry and enjoying its many flavors and nuances in its layered meanings of the written word which will open up themind to new vistas of thoughts, feelings and emotions, which are common to all peoples throughout the world; because this is the language of the mind and of the soul, clarifying once and for all the truth that all peoples are created equally from within the soul and are equal to one another as neighbors; though, the world we live in, that of traditions and labels, tell us differently.
Cultures, religions, race, color, languages, sex, and any other descriptive words or phrases we use to identify ourselves with, simply get in the way. Our likes and dislikes are regulated from outside of our selves because of our shared innate internal competitiveness and misunderstanding of the words good, better, and best, words which cannot be defined but only lived and experienced individually.
With the instant ability today of the internet and its capabilities to translate written articles and poems quite well, we can read a poem or an article in our own language and get the gist of its content and meaning; this is instant gratification. Also, with the technology of voice recording abilities a poet may read his/or her poem which may be heard through the computer speakers; another instant gratification. These amazing abilities of internet recording and instant translation were quite unheard of twenty years ago for the average user of the internet.
So take advantage of the internet technology available today and enjoy poetry and articles in any language you choose. You may not get an absolutely pristine translation but you will get enough to understand and have fun seeing the different printed forms on the page.
Joslins
Remember the other day at Joslins, gosh,
again we happened to see the two of them.
Jamie and Margaret out on the town,each one
different behaviorally? He cordial and friendly,
She stuck-up, andprimly sweet-sweet! No real treat.
However, perplexingly funny, fuzzy, dim-witted,
And not too overly bright. Leaving us with sour guts,
puzzled, confused,and to discuss,to no avail
The probable reasons. We only came up with one, the obvious!
We don't think that Margaret really likes us. Too bad, so sad, what'ya
Gonna do? Hopefully it won't rain. We wouldn't want her to drown.
Daylight Savings Time
Who, can't figure it out?
You can't manipulate time;
Only ignorant people.
Get your ass out of bed. What?
Manage the hour on your own?
What's the matter with you?
You can hit a ball, but you can't
figure out the alarm clock?
Weekend
Nooooo'op!
Don't think so.
It's not that way,
and I'm not going to say that it is.
You've got me
apologizing
for what I don't
believe is true; that makes it a lie.
Sorry,
but, that's the way it is.
You had your
weekend. That's great. I'm happy for
You.
You had great fun;
the warmth, the sun,
the beaches, the sand. I thought of you.
I waited -
fantasizing we two,
could do something
together on your return. Don't want to go?
No sweat.
That's cool.
Just remember, neither of us is a tool.
