Ready For An Underwater Baby Theme?

The nursery is the most important place for the first few months of your babys life

. An underwater baby theme is ideal for a nursery because of the soothing colors and calming idea of water. Babies come from a watery environment and being in one again, virtual as it may be, can be relaxing.

There are so many things you can do with an ocean baby theme. Start with the colors. You can choose blues, greens or a combination of the two. Either way, its a good way to make sure that the room is nice and cool.

A little research will turn up a number of great sea animal toys and ocean themed nursery bedding. Again, stick with the blues and greens of the rooms walls for the bedding, but look to the sea critters to brighten up the space.

A fun area rug in the shape of a tortoise or a fish is a great addition to the nursery floor and gives your baby a neat place to hang out for tummy time. There are hundreds of appropriate rugs and mats, so take your time choosing, or put a couple on your baby shower wish list and then just switch them out so your baby wont be bored.

Keep in mind that youll need a couple changes of underwater baby theme bedding, since babies do tend to make a mess of things. At least three sets of sheets are a good idea, plus an extra blanket or two. There will be plenty of occasions to use them all!
