Ready To Watch A Gut-wrenching Horror Movie All Alone?

Everybody is curious to watch horror movies, though many dont have the guts to be all alone while doing so

. Its only after watching that they realize how scary it can actually be. Of course, horror movies are not for weak-hearted. People who watch horror films frequently tend to develop a kind of psychosis which deters them from going out in the dark. Horror films kindle a kind of negative emotion for most of the viewers. This is primarily due to the fact that they tend to play on the primal fear that is in the subconscious mind of people. Thus horror movies have managed to instill a deep sense of fear among the audience. However, there are a slew of people who have a predilection for horror movies and they enjoy watching it. Horror films overlap with several genres like thriller, supernatural, fantasy, and science fiction.

The old horror movies that featured in the early 20th century are said to have caught the attention of the audience. Even today, names of movies like Dracula, Frankenstein, and Omen strike fear in the hearts of people all over the world. Those days, even though there was not much technology, the storyline and the plot of these movies caught the attention of the viewers. That was a time when makeup was the only tool they had. In this day and age, with the help computer technology, horror movie makers are able to showcase their characters in a horrific manner. Technology has helped to add up to the scariness of the characters in the movies. In fact, the extended use of technology has actually given the viewers a picture of what evil can actually look like. Although most horror movies are imaginary, it can be said that most of the films also contain plots which deal with some real incidents like serial killers, surrealism, morbidity or a sudden outbreak of disease or virus.

Let me describe my experience of watching a horror movie that I downloaded with my ATT UVerse Internet connection at home. One of the movies that really scared me was Halloween. Let me give you a brief description of the storyline. It was Halloween day in the Midwestern town of Haddonfield, Illinois. The movie opens on a mysterious note; a 6 year old boy Michael Myers kills his 15 year old sister Judith in their home. Following the murder, Michael is sent to a solitary confinement and is kept under the watch of Dr. Samuel Loomis. Michael goes into a state of catatonia and continues to be in that state for about 15 years. One day Loomis arrived at the sanitarium to take Michael to a court hearing. But Michael makes an escape by stealing Loomiss car. The following day it was Halloween and Laurie sees Michael, now wearing a white mask and a blue jump suit. Throughout the evening, Laurie happens to see Michael in different locations. This developed a kind of fear and suspicion in her mind.

Meanwhile, Annies father, Sheriff Lee Brackett and Loomis are on the lookout for Michael. That night, Annie babysits Lindsay and Laurie babysits Tommy Doyle. Moments later, Michael kills Annies dog. Suddenly Annie gets a phone call from her boyfriend Paul who asks her to come and pick him up. When Annie got into her car, she was shocked to see Paul being strangled to death by Michael. Immediately, Annie also gets killed by Michael. Moments later, Linda and her boyfriend Bob enter the house without knowing that Michael is inside. Linda is on the phone speaking with Laurie. Suddenly, Michael enters and kills both Linda and Bob and leaves the house.

Laurie who was talking to Linda before her death happened to realize that there was something wrong and thus visits the Wallace house. She is spotted by Michael. A frightened Linda asks the children to hide and goes upstairs. Michael spots her in her bedroom. Just when she thought her life was over, Loomis comes to her rescue and shoots Michael. Michael falls from the second floor to the ground. Thinking that Michael was dead, Loomis looks down but finds Michaelss body to be missing.
