Real Case Study To Decide Whether Car Check Is Essential Or Not

Car is mostly dream lifestyle product for all of us

. We spend thousands of dollars to purchase our dream car but what you feel when you purchased your dreamed car and within 15 days of buying, it needs maintenance? What if you need to bring your car in garage just after 10 days of buying?

Of course it will make you upset and disappointed like anything.

Well there is a sea size difference buying a fresh new car and used car. However it is always a good decision to buy a used car but the necessary thing is you check everything before going to buy a particular used car especially when you are spending several thousands of dollars to buy a premium car.

Here is the real case happened recently. Read whole story and then decide whether that Pre Purchase car check is essential or not?

Date: 13th June-2009

A guy purchased a black automatic VW Golf 1995 in Five Dock for the sum of $5000. After completion of all formalities of car-deal, car was delivered to him on 19th June.

When this guy was driving his new car to home, just after 20 minutes of driving, car was smoking out of the bonnet. So he let it cool and then drove it home with lots of trouble. He has to stop 3 more times on the way before he reached home. After reaching home he poured more than 4 litres of water into the radiator and it just evaporated.

After few hours, in the evening he took his car again for drive and same thing happened again. He was so disappointed and at last he called the Elite roadside assistance but still they were unable to help him as they dint receive any paperwork for membership. After all he struggled a lot to get rid of this car which was continuously hammering his head with lots of maintenance but nothing good happened.

At last after taking all these headaches On Friday the 26th June the car would not start due to a flat battery. He had it towed to the mechanics on Saturday 27th. The mechanic found the fault not to be the battery but there are other problems causing the battery to go flat.

Now this is not only inconvenient but costly. After all this happened he is now using public transport after buying a car from them which is unroad worthy and illegal. And actually they should not be selling a car that is not in roadworthy condition.

But it is more disappointing spending $5000 on your dream car that still you are not been able to drive since the day you get delivery.

This is the real case happened in Sydney. By reading whole this case it is clear that if that guy had gone through pre vehicle check inspection he might not have to face all this trouble. This case is the live and learning example for all those who are going to buy used car.

Life lesson to learn is: Never ever buy a car without pre purchase car check.
