For the last 10 years there has been a major real estate development taking place in Sonipat and it has developed by many folds
. 10 years ago Sonepat was no where on the map of real estate development in Delhi-NCR in fact it was not even considered to be a part of NCR. It was back then only a simple agricultural town with simple people living here and no major real estate development going on in Sonepat. The real estate prices in Sonipat the area used to be stagnant and would increase in very few important areas and that too at a very negligible pace providing almost no profit for investors. Roads in the city were in very bad condition and no new roads were constructed in the area for a long time. Basic facilities like water supply and sewage disposal were only available in the inner city areas only and were not available in many colonies on the outskirts of the Sonipat city back then. The population was also comparatively lower. People used to migrate to Delhi and other metro cities in search of jobs and higher education.
Then in 2003-04, the real estate revolution started taking place in Sonepat and the initial development were started from the Kundli area. Real estate companies started acquiring land from the farmers to start developing their projects in Kundli and soon many real estate companies were developing their projects in Sonepat city itself. The real estate companies that started their projects earliest in Sonepat were TDI, Ansal API and Tulip. After these companies many more companies came to Sonepat and it became a hot spot for every real estate development company in sonipat of north India. Almost everywhere in Sonepat a real estate boom was going on. The living standard rose higher then before, many retail chains and branded showrooms were opening all around Sonepat. Many new roads were developed, many new over bridges are being constructed and the conditions of roads improved remarkably. Even the colonies started getting many basic facilities and the real estate market started seeing exponentially upwards graph. Even the government real estate agencies like HUDA, Housing Board and HSIIDC started developing real estate projects in Sonipat and soon there was development everywhere in Sonipat and soon it is going to be one of the best places to live in India.
