PCMC officials are taking significant steps to make sure that there will be a balance between industrial and residential development. The corporation is also upgrading its infrastructure, keeping the districts future development in mind.


The growth in the municipality will also have an impact on real estate prices. The current price range of residential buildings is between Rs 2,200 and Rs 2,800 per sq ft. More companies setting up shop within the corporation will lead to more people moving into the area. This will surely add to the growth of residential property prices as well.

Another factor to the real estate growth within the municipality is the development of an international convention centre in Moshi. The area of Kasarwadi is just 4 kilometres away from Moshi. Thus, it becomes one of the best places to set up residential apartments. One should also keep in mind that Kasarwadi is centrally located to the main highway, and to areas such as Bhosari, Pimpri and Chinchwad.

PCMC is no longer Punes small cousin. With industrials zones and residential flats in Kasarwadi, Dapodi, Bhosari and Sanghvi coming up, one can probably say it will grow to become a formidable municipality in its own right.
