Choose a phrase you could natter about and either write a blog post or a short article around that phrase. Drop the phrase into the article two or three times. Post it on your blog or to a site like Articles Base.

Because almost no-one else is targeting that phrase, chances are you'll get shown in the top ten results quite fast.

Sure, you won't get much extra traffic if you only do that once.

But do it once a week or, better yet, once a day and those small drips of visitors will build up into a nice, steady, stream.

Ten of these short articles or blog posts is an easy target to aim for - it sounds achievable (because it is) and it's do-able without much effort. One a day over a cup of coffee will do the trick.

If you're offering a localised service, do the search and sort without your town name and then add your town or suburb name into the post, close to the keyword phrase. It's really simple SEO that anyone can do.
