Really Surprising To Know That So Many Individuals Are Out There Who Doesn't Even Know They Are Addi

The first thought which the term addiction which brings up to the mind is that of alcohol

, drugs, smoking etc but do we know that there are so many other different kinds of addiction types which we well could also be suffering from.

Many of us are even unaware of the destructive nature of our habits when we are stressed out. We go through it unaware till it becomes really serious or someone else close to us points it out to us. Different people get into different things to cope with stress, even destructive ones, like drugs, alcohol, gambling, excessive shopping, angry outbursts among others.

Coping with stress, and the activities towards making us feel better becomes a continuous ongoing effort. Again different people get into different things even like shopping, internet addiction. Would you be surprised if you had a habit which can be described as addictive? Most people doesn't even know that they are addicted till quite late.

Nobody would have thought that addiction can include the likes of shopping, anger, internet addiction, sex, gambling etc. And anybody into these things could not have realized that they are a victim of addiction. How could they have known it?

It is a surprising fact that there are so many people around who are addicted to something or in need of mental help, but in spite of this they still do not do anything to seek help or go for treatment, till the conditioned and is in an advanced stage later. For one reason or the other majority do not seek help in time.

Research indicated that those who do seek help and go for treatment typically do so after a period of about ten years of denial or delays. We can well imagine the condition which would be, after so much time has gone by without doing anything about it.

By this time after ten years of inaction the condition is one of deteriorated health, relationships which has become toxic, and overall they feel totally beat up mentally and physically too. Being in an advanced stage now changing the negative behaviors becomes all the more difficult now.

In such a condition of the affected to overcome their addiction, lots and lots of support and encouragement will be required in every step of the way, which sadly might not be there always. If not supported with these they might continue with their old ways of drinking and drugs among others.

Living a life of addiction is a miserable experience indeed. Being addicted to something is like being a slave to it. You know that it is not right, at the same time you can't get rid of it. If it was so easy many would be living an addiction free life right now.

Anybody can overcome any type of addictions once they realize that they are empowered to take the decision to choose a better life. This coupled with the right program, help and support they can beat the addiction and go on to live a life of triumph, free from addiction or being a slave to anything.
