Do you own a gun and what do you use it for? Are you a collector of old rare guns
or any new one that happens to show on the market? There happens to be a lot of different kinds and all of them when shot will kill. If you happen to be one of these collectors you would most likely put this gun in a case and never slide a bullet into the chamber. Now you might be one that buys a gun to use it for the sole purpose of shooting what you plan on eating. Then you might be one that is called a big game hunter. If you happen to be one of these people then you go after the big cats, elephants, hippos or any of these big animals only for the trophy that killing this animal gives you.
Some of you might buy a gun for its protection. With getting one for this reason you will also have to take a course to teach you how to use it. You will also have to license this gun with the police station. With doing this if this gun should end up in the wrong hands and something bad happens you will be able to prove that you did not have it at the time. You must keep this in a place where only you can get at it if you need to. You must also check on it from time to time to make sure it has not been taken. If it is missing then you will have to report it to the police.
Most of you get this gun or rifle for these uses only but to actually be able to get one is another story. With all of the gun laws in place you getting this gun might not be in the stars. You might try only to be turned down and then find that this person you know that has no business having a gun has one. It is sad to know that this person got his without going through channels and then you know that this gun will probably be use for a crime. To get a gun the right way might have you waiting ten or more days for a back ground check.
For those of you that do have these guns and have gotten them this way it is also important to remember that if you give this weapon to someone else as even a present report it to the police so that it is registered in their name.
