A diamond bracelet, whether it is the type known as a tennis bracelet, an eternity bracelet, an infinity bracelet or a traditional diamond line bracelet, is a terrific fashion accessory that looks great worn with anything from a swimsuit to an evening gown. The stones set in diamond bracelets are generally smaller and of lower quality than those selected for rings, pendants or earrings but a luxuriant bracelet featuring quality stones will still cost thousands if not tens of thousands of dollars. Fortunately, there are plenty of stunning designs to be had for only a few hundred dollars. Obviously the quality and quantity of the diamonds will be a major determinant of the price but the type of precious metal used and intricacy of the design are also important.

As the popularity of diamond tennis bracelets bloomed in the late 1980's, so did the available range of designs and settings. A wider range of gemstones is being used for bracelets nowadays and not even all of the diamond bracelets are made with diamonds alone. In-line and link bracelets combining diamonds with rubies, emeralds, sapphires, onyx, amethyst and other birthstones make memorable birthday gifts. Men are also choosing diamond bracelets to complete their outfits and of course the thinner designs can be worn as ankle bracelets.
