Recipe Tips for Those Who Follow the Paleo Diet
If you are tired of chicken and broccoli every night, then maybe it's time for a change! The below tips are for spicing things up and changing what you eat! This will help you keep healthy and consistent!
One of the biggest issues I hear from clients who follow the Paleo diet, is that it gets "boring" and dull. It's the same foods and meals over and over. These 3 steps will prevent this from happening, and will allow you to actually enjoy the diet again!
1.Buy a lot of SPICES!
This is key! Typically, when I hear people say they get bored of the same food it's because they only use one or two spices. This will get really boring, really quick! Instead, get $50 and travel to Whole Foods. Buy a lot of different spices and educate yourself! This alone will make the same exact meals much more flavorful
2,Mix and Match
There are hundreds of veggies and many types of lean protein. There is NO need to limit yourself to only a few of each! Expand your taste buds and try different meats (like goat, deer etc) and try all the different veggies!
3.Buy recipe books
To further expand your possibilities I highly recommend buying some Paleo cookbooks. There are many available now that the diet has hit mainstream. I personally just bought one and have made these special meals a part of my everyday eating. You can view that on my webpage at the bottom.
In conclusion, consistency to the Paleo diet is often disrupted by boredom, among other things. This can easily be avoided by altering your eating patterns and mixing things up a bit. Get some new spices, venture into new foods and try some different recipes. This will ensure consistency so you can keep on track, and enjoy it while you do so!
