Recycling is known as one of the highly important and biggest advocacy of today

. This is very logical, simple and very easy to do. There are various environmental organizations in the world that encourages people to save the planet by preventing them to carelessly throw batteries away, especially the rechargeable ones, but make new things out of them instead. Recyclable batteries can be found in cellular phones, cordless power tools, cordless telephones, digital cameras, video camcorders, remote control toys and in laptop computers.

If you are an owner of Dell laptops or notebook computers, then you should know that you can always recycle the batteries of these devices. So if you think your battery is not working properly anymore, then do not throw them away yet. What you can do is to call Dell directly and ask them if they can have your batteries replaced or buy a replacement for a nominal fee. This is possible since Dell has a "Battery Program" and you might be qualified to avail of a free replacement or to purchase a new battery at a discounted price.

Aside from that, you may also drop by a recycling plant or drop off centers of various organizations whose aim is to collect items that can be recycled such as your laptop battery. Back then, you still have to contact your local sanitation department or go directly to recycling centers to drop their recyclable materials. But now, there are several recycling centers scattered in various areas where you can take your items for recycling. These drops off centers are usually located in popular bookstores, retail shops, supermarket chains, computer retail, home furnishing stores and schools. If you are not familiar of these drop off centers and do not have any idea where the nearest center is from your location, you may try doing a little research online and look for these organizations or you may also ask your local government for help. When your recyclable batteries reach the refurbishing facility, nickel, iron, cadmium and other reusable materials from your battery will be taken to those who manufactures stainless steels or those who produces batteries as well.

You may do any of these to be able to recycle the batteries of your Dell laptops. Remember that recycling is not just a good way to get rid of useless batteries but more importantly, it can be very helpful in keeping our environment clean. This is the reason why Dell promotes the same goal and allows recycling of batteries of Dell laptops from their stores as well.
