Home dcor matters to everyone. To some the simple idea of making your home look pristine and well thought out is simply beyond them and their needs, not to mention their means. For these folks the very idea of a well considered dcor is really the province of the very rich and luxuriously wealthy. This however is a silly and misguided approach. Hints of luxury can raise the bar for your home and can help you learn to live happier and more comfortably within your means. Enjoying the finer things in life is great once in a while and even those of us in the middle class can find ourselves some opportunities to do just that.
For me the first phase in bringing some luxury into my home was to buy a red carpet. Red carpets of course have long been synonymous with style and grace. Event carpets as we know from watching our favorite awards shows and seeing photos of gala events in magazines like Vanity Fair are always red and this has assigned a value to any and all red carpets. When you buy red carpet you are saying that this home is a special place where looking and feeling good matter. When you fill a hallway with a gorgeous looking red carpet runner you are offering visitors and yourselves a chance to stroll over a red carpet gracefully each time you enter and exit a room.
Of course for some the brightness of red carpet runners might work better for special occasions and the day to day of your home life might be more appropriately captured by hardwood floors. That is fine these red carpet runners are easily rolled up and stored for safe keeping. You can literally roll out your red carpet runner for special events and special guests and keep it locked away safely during the lulls of the year. Thing is as soon as one of these carpets gets rolled out your home takes on a larger status and your cocktail party or other special event immediately becomes something bigger and better than you had likely expected of it.
Dcor is not just a consideration for the very wealthy. It is something that each and every one of us can work on in an effort to make our homes more enjoyable and comfortable. We do not have to live in a joyless world where only the rich get to have nice things. We can have our own luxurious red carpet runner to announce just how exceptional we are as well.
