The upcoming generation has forgotten how to reduce the waste, reuse the substance, recycle the waste material and refinish or restore the product. The present generation just thinks that after using the product, throwing it or disposing it and then buying again is the best thing to do. Let us take an example that a hotel group has armories for the television sets. But in this new fast changing environment, the new T.V. sets won't fit in these armories. In this process, the armories will be changed according to the new T.V. sets by replacing the top of the armories and refinishing the remaining part and making it a new one. Later at the top a granite piece is placed and the old armories are ready for the new T.V. sets. If the furniture is restored like this it can be used for many years without buying new one.

This helps in sustainable development as the old furniture is not disposed of and neither the trees will be cut for the new furniture. If anyone wants to refinish their furniture they can call the contract furniture companies, which will send their men at the home or the office and do their work.

They don't need to move the furniture out of the room, they will work at the site only and not spread any harmful chemicals on the floor. It will also reduce the cost of labor as there is no need to transport the furniture. One must also keep a check on the quality of wood material while buying furniture as it is a long term asset. If one keeps refinishing the furniture its life also expands and the product lasts for a longer time. The method of restoration is an eco friendly method also.

With the growing environmental concern, it is one of the methods of sustainable development. The people must welcome this new change and adopt it.
