Reebok 8K Pump Inline Hockey Skate Overview

I like to keep things simple when it comes to writing, so with that being said, lets cover some features of the Reebok 8K Pump Inline Hockey Skate starting from the ground up.

Wheels and Bearings:

Equipped with the Rink Rat Hornet wheel, this is the perfect wheel for the high level indoor inline hockey player. It is rated at a XXX softness and equipped with Rink Rats patented M-Tech technology, making for excellent grip and explosive acceleration. Paired with ABEC 9 rated bearings you are going to be leaving your competition wondering where you went.

Chassis:

The Tri-Di Lite Chassis that you will find on the 8K is made from extruded aluminum with the following front to back wheel configuration (72mm-76mm-76mm-80mm). The extruded aluminum chassis is very light weight and stiff which will be great for optimizing a skaters energy transfer. The wheel configuration helps get the skater lower to the ground to help with their center of gravity and a correcting skating position.

Boot and The Pump:

Starting with the outsole on the boot, the 8K has a full composite outsole that not only reduces the overall weight of the skate but also helps in making the skate stiffer. The quarters of the boot are combination of polyester and synthetic leathers, creating a very lightweight and durable design. The Pump is hands down the best skate technology since sliced bread! The air bladders in the heel portion of the boot do a great job conforming the skate to even the most miss shapen feet. If you have an oddly shaped heel or a bone spur, use The Pump to its fullest extent to get a comfortable and customized fit. Lastly, there is some nice ventilation in the toe box and throughout the quarters of the skate to help keep your foot dry and cool when skating.

Sizing:

When trying this skate on I noticed that it was a touch wider in the toe box compared to most Mission and Bauer skates. I am right between a D and an E width for normal shoes and decided to go with the standard D width as these run a little wider than other skate companies. Also I went directly with Reebok sizing recommendations with 1.5 sizes smaller than your regular US shoe size. Here is a Size Chart if you have any questions or concerns about sizing.

Overall:

I found the Reebok 8K Pump Inline Skate to be a great value for the money. It is an upper end skate for the intermediate to advanced level players that are looking for a great skate without breaking the bank. So what are you waiting for? Say goodbye to buyers remorse and treat yourself to a pair, I have no regreats with my decision!
