British gamblers will probably be familiar with the Reel King from trips to the bookies
, pubs, service stations and casinos. The Reel King fruit machines found in Britain are manufactured by Barcrest. They have reportedly been a big hit since they were released in 2008.
The Reel King was the first of the popular Barcrest Fruit machines to be released online in February 2010. At present the official online version of the Reel King is found only at the Sky Vegas online casino. This version of the game was apparently made by the online gaming company Wagerworks.
Reel King was very popular in the pubs because it is a very simple game to play. You spin the wheels and if the "Reel King" cartoon character pops up you win. There are five reels on the online version as in the real version. Up to 20 win lines are available in the online version of "Reel King."
Gamblers should be warned because there maybe unofficial versions of "Reel King" floating around the net. These may look like the real deal but they have nothing to do with Barcrest.
The only place where British residents can play online Reel King legally is at Sky Vegas and other Wagerworks online casinos. Versions of many of the popular Barcrest fruit machines are available at Sky Vegas, the Virgin online casino and Barcrest's own website.
Interestingly enough Reel King is not currently listed in the inventory of fruit machines at Barcrest's website. This could mean that Barcrest has discontinued this popular line of fruit machines. The website does mention a similar machine called Reel Bingo which could be the replacement for Reel King.
Even though the fruit machines don't seem to be available anymore the online version is still available at Sky Vegas. This means that Reel King fans may have to settle for only the online version in the near future.
