When deciding on the interior of your bar or pub remember to keep in mind the age and design of the building, as well as the surrounding area. If you are located by the seaside, in a period building, then an art deco theme could work. Meanwhile, in a more modern building located in the town centre, you could opt for a minimalist white theme. Avoid the gimmicky or tacky and instead opt for a classic but contemporary theme, to ensure that your design will stay 'current' for years to come. If you are going to be investing a considerable sum of money in the re-design then you'll want to get your money's worth, with a design that lasts the test of time.

Once your interior designer has come up with a theme, you can choose appropriate furniture. Keep in mind pub staples like sofas and bar stools, but don't be afraid to mix more unusual feature pieces with such traditional must-haves. For those lucky enough to have a plethora of floorspace available, adding different areas to your establishment could be popular. With a quiet area to chat, a bar area and a dance floor, customers won't want to go anywhere else.
