Temporary residence transition is for those who have worked in Australia for two years. They can apply under this category if their employers are willing to give them a permanent position in their company. Direct entry visa is for the new comers who either never worked in Australia or even if did then for a very brief period. The agreement category is for those who got sponsored by an employer via regional or labour migration agreement.

You are eligible to apply for Regional Sponsored Sub Class 187 Visa from India if you are willing to work and reside in regional areas of Australia which does not include Melbourne, Brisbane, Newcastle, Gold Coast, Sydney and Wollongong. You need to be nominated by an authentic Australian employer located in regional Australia only. Your age should less than 50 years. You are expected to fulfil skills required for the relevant profession and English language proficiency.

The Regional Sponsored visa works for trained employees for both kinds of applicants either they are from outside Australia or they are skilled temporary inhabitants who currently live and work in Australia. It is class under the permanent Employer nominated visa scheme. There are some exceptions involving to age, skills, and language proficiency. These exemptions depend on your sponsored profession, salary and past work experience.

If you cannot get nominated by an employer then you can also submit expression of interest under Australian SkillSelect Scheme. After submission of EOI, employers and state or territory government can see your skills and nominate you for skilled migration. If you get sponsored for Sub class 187 visa then you need to submit your online application within six months of being nominated. You will have to select one category. This application submission will cost you AUD3060 under all categories. No extra payment for including your family members and dependants in your application.
