Petroleum jelly keeps the area lubricated. It also avoids hard bowel movements, which can start bleeding all over again.
Apple cider vinegar has been known to shrink hemorrhoids after only one or two applications due to its strong astringent, antibacterial and antiseptic properties.
Place a small amount of apple cider vinegar into a container without diluting. Dip a soft cotton pad or q-tip into the apple cider vinegar and gently apply to your hemorrhoids after bowel movements or when you suffer from itching or pain. This will also reduce bleeding.
