Renault Duster Suv Launched In India At Rs 7.19 Lakhs

Renault India finally launched its long awaited compact SUV

, Renault Duster is India today. Renault Duster price in India starts at Rs 7.19 lakhs (ex-showroom price) for the base version of petrol version. Launched in seven trim levels, the other petrol variant is tagged at Rs 8.19 lakhs. The price of diesel version begins at Rs 7.99 lakhs for the base version , the other 83 hp variants of Duster come with a price tag of Rs 8.99 lakhs and Rs 9.99 lakhs (ex-showroom price). The 108 hp diesel variants are priced at Rs 9.99 lakhs , Rs 10.99 lakhs and Rs 11.29 lakhs (ex-showroom price).

The SUV is packed with a host of innovative features and offers oomph of luxury that makes it a tough competitor. Duster is endowed with advanced technology like reverse parking sensors, keyless entry with answer back function, on board trip computer with multi-functional displays. Apart from these advanced features the SUV is also bestowed with rear defogger and wipers that helps in enhanced visibility. The exteriors look more glossy and polished with the presence of 16 inch aluminium wheels, double barrel headlights, stylish roof rail, chrome finish radiator grille, lateral bars, mighty and sumptuous wheel arches. Despite a heavy posture, Duster is quite vigilant on the city roads, thanks to the 5.2 meter turning radius which is less than some of the small cars in India.

Renault Duster SUV is an impeccable combination of comfort and luxury of a sedan while it also carries a ruggedness of a SUV. Being promoted as an alternative of sedan this SUV is definitely going to give nightmares to the sedans cars in India. Diesel variant is offered in two engine options; however the petrol version is available only in one petrol engine option. Duster diesel is powered with 1.5 litre K9K THP, dCi diesel motor which delivers a maximum power of 108 Hp at 3900 Rpm along with a peak torque of 248 Nm at 2250 Rpm. This diesel mill is synchronized to a six speed manual transmission and returns an ARAI certified mileage of 19.01 kmpl. Renault Duster RxE and Renault Duster RxL diesel trims are equipped with a 1.5 litre dCi K9K HP diesel powertrain that engenders a maximum power of 83 Hp at 3750 Rpm and 200 Nm of peak torque at 1900 Rpm.

These two diesel variants of Renault Duster SUV will deliver a fuel efficiency of 20.45 kmpl. The petrol variant of Duster SUV is packed with a 1. 6 litre K4M motor which is built to deliver a peak fuel economy of 102 Hp of power at 5850 Rpm and along with 145 Nm of torque figure at 3750 Rpm. The petrol mill is mated to a five speed manual transmission. The petrol engine is a less fuel economic as it is capable proffering a mileage of only 13.24 kmpl.

Suiting the Indian climate, Renault has also incorporated rear AC to keep the passengers cool sitting in the rear. This would be extremely useful for the hot weather conditions of India. The SUV has a considerably long wheelbase of 2673 mm, the SUV offers ample leg room to the passengers. The SUV can seat five adults comfortably inside the cabin. Duster offers a carrying capacity of 1064 litre and a cargo space of 475 litre. The SUV is also equipped with safety features like anti-lock braking system, electronic brake force distribution with brake assist and a monocoque body with side impact beams.
