The Toyota's car named TERCEL was the Toyota's first car

It also gained a steering wheel covered with a leather cover and also a shifter knob in the early 1980s.The air conditioning was also an optional feature, but not in those base models. The demisters for the side windows were standard, similar to the seat belt retractors which were used for locking so as to hold the car seats in their position.
