4. The homeowner should work closely in association with the installer to finish the Renew Boston application for Solar Rebate. The installer as a part of the contract with you, will fill out, gather, and put forward all essential forms. The installer will also function as the liaison with the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center's Commonwealth Solar II rebate program and give you information about federal tax credits for applying for residential solar power in Massachusetts.

5. Once the installer puts in the completed application for the Renew Boston Solar rebate, Renew Boston has an expert service staff who will review and once approved will send forth a rebate award notice. The residential solar power system in Massachusetts should not be set up before receiving the notification from the City of Boston.

6. The installer then gets in the job of establishing a system for the use of residential solar power in Massachusetts homes. Once installation is complete, they will present the forms for to Renew Boston.

There are certain guidelines for the above mentioned steps and program. If an energy efficiency assessment has already been conducted the previous year, but homeowner is not informed about any recommendations, it implies that the particular home has successfully fulfilled all the energy efficient requirements for the program.
