From the new Windows installation, run Regedt32.exe tool.
Then try to locate the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE key.
In the original Windows installation location, open the System file. The default path of the file is:
'%SystemRoot%System32ConfigSystem'
When you are prompted, specify an arbitrary name for the key in the 'Load Hive' window.
In the following key, change the AutoREboot value from 1 to 0.

To allow creation of the dump file by the STOP error message, modify the paging value in the original Windows installation.
