Resorts - A Dream Come True
South America is so many things all at once, and so are the locations for their resorts
. It is the deep, moist jungle green of the Amazon, it is the high snow-clad peaks of the Andes, the beaches lining up against the Atlantic on one side and the Pacific ocean on the other, with its northern borders caressed by the warm white foam of Caribbean waves coming crashing in.
Travelling South America, no matter how you do it or where you go, it is guaranteed to be an emotional rollercoaster, since the sheer beauty of the diverse landscapes are so overwhelming it is almost scary.
Venezuela's Serengeti
This is like a little part of Africa located in the southeast of Venezuela. A wide stretched savannah, with crocodiles laying just a few feet beside the road with gaping mouths as they are trying to regulate their temperature. There are several hotels offering guided tours and beautiful rooms, so you can just pull your curtain aside in the morning and see the bounty of multi-colored birds filling up a sunny sky. You could take a trip down the river and see pink flamingos and river dolphins sharing space with hungry piranhas.
To top if all off, several of the hotel guides will take you on a night safari as well. The savannah lays pitch black, and all you can hear are strange sounds and the hum of flies.
The Nahuel Huapi National Park
Located in Argentina, this national park is just a dream to walk around in. Everywhere you look there is a stunning view over a mountain or a crystal clear mountain lake. During the right season you can come here for skiing as well, and the hotels and lodges all have that magical feel of "Twin Peaks" brought to life.
Or, you could just enjoy it all from your very own patio, having your cup of morning coffee overlooking a landscape that will take your breath away.
Welcome To The Jungle
Eco-lodges has become a big hit all over South America, and here you can really indulge yourself with that feeling of being as one with the jungle. Go into the deep green of a thick cloud forest, and as if the beauty of all that mystery and mist was not enough, you can stay in a comfortable lodge living like a king. Most of these hotels are so architecturally in tune with mother nature they ate hard to see before you are literary standing on the compound to the hotels.
You can opt for a cabin nestled up in a tree crown. You will never be able to live so close to the jungle again. And I can guarantee you, that if you spend a few nights in an eco-hab, you probably will never sleep so good ever again.
To list all of the hotel and beautiful locations in South America would take way to long. But what you can take away from this, is the knowledge that some of the most beautiful
resorts , they are to be found in South America.
