Restoring Data Safely From A Corrupted Bkf File Created In Windows 2000

Well, the Windows NT (Windows Server 2003, XP, and 2000) users can use in-built NTBackup utility to backup the valuable data in the form of BKF files. And when the need arises to use the BKF files, you can restore them using the same utility. Having said that, these BKF files too can get corrupted at times due to various reasons. Resolution:

You should always check the backup reports and event logs to ascertain that backup has been created properly. Now as is mentioned, Windows does not provide any in-built utility to repair BKF file. So, to repair corrupted BKF file you should use a third-party MS backup repair tool. Such read-only tools repair the BKF files without overwriting the original contents using fast yet sophisticated scanning algorithms.
