Review Management for Yelp

Not sure if you're aware of this but you're likely on Google. Not only are you on Google, but so is your reputation. How do you feel about that? How comforting is it to know that at any given moment your business name can be typed in and in one click deals can be made and deals can be broken. Frightening, isn't it? Or maybe it isn't. Maybe you've tracked your reputation through the each medium and have found that it is stellar. Every reviewer offered you 5 stars and there is not one complaint. You're visible on every reputable medium, there is nothing less than satisfaction and evidence proves that everybody's happy. If this is that case, keep up with your strategy, you're in great shape.

Then there are others. There are those businesses that no matter how hard you try, no matter what efforts you put in, no matter what incentives you offer, you can't seem to escape the negative review. Don't be too alarmed as of yet, there is good news for you. The good news is that you knowand knowing is half the battle. Be thankful that you aren't one of those businesses that have no idea how their reputation is perceived amongst the general public. They are operating everyday not privy to the fact that 15 out of 20 potential customers have logged in to see what reviewers are saying before making a final decision on who to do business with.

These businesses are not fully to blame for being unable to keep up with potentially destructive information such as a Yelp review and are instead consumed with the already heavy load of maintaining day to day operations. It would be nearly impossible for some of these businesses to find and cater to reviewers at the expense of letting other business handlings fall by the wayside. There seemingly isn't enough time to track reviews, work on negative conversion and produce exceeding positive positioning. These businesses are thinking there is simply no way to do it all, when ultimately there is no way not to.

Business reviews are of the greatest importance. They are trusted with the utmost regard. A perfect stranger could have a negative experience at your establishment and the opinion of that stranger could be carried as one's own personal experience. The person who has adopted that experience then transfers the negative feedback to another until a there are several individuals who refuse to do business with you simply off the merit of one.

Consumers do not have enough time to see for themselves. They would much rather customer reviews dictate action for them. What you want, as a business owner, is for the action to be dictated toward you. Now you are left with the how? How do you maintain business while maintaining reputation? How do you gather data, track trends, assess incentives, strategize conversions and gain positive feedback all in the midst of operating your business?
