It has been two years since we terminal construed a smartphone from Nokia. The maker hasnt got any phones after E71 which was considered as the best Nokia phone ever so to date. That was quite true just because touch screen speech sounds hadnt come that popular back then and peoples were devotees of the numerical keypads .
Nokia E73s keyboard could have been better though, it has straight rowings. Wed favored a curved layout like the 1s seen on most QWERTY french telephones like Blackberry . The keys are well contoured but they dont have that meeting mouse click to them. Above the keyboard, there are the navigation keys which also appear a bit weird. This is one country where E73 has gone one measure behind E71 ; the shortcuts keys for Mail, Address Book, Calendar and Habitation are not delineated anymore. They are made up of the same plastic pieces of music as the soft and Send Ending keys. At the center, you have the four way navigation launching pad along with an ocular pad in the center. We cogitated Nokia got a bit too challenging when they went for both the rocker button and optic pad. They should have used just one but two is a bit hard to handle. Luckily , you can turn off the optical pad and apply the ring just like E71.
Nokia E73 has a QVGA video display which is getting quite a obsolete. Same can be said about the central processor . In our tests , it was a bit sloppy though. We were let down that you can not create calls through Skype or anything alike. You merely get Fring but it is not that user friendly. We would recommend you to stick with voice at least till they vamp Fring.
On the back, there is a five megapixel tv camera along with LIGHT EMITTING DIODE flash bulb. This is really good regarding the Nokia E73 is more of a business device. We would have loved a two situation photographic camera button but Nokia went for shutter meantime and autofocus. Picture quality is really good, better than what we expected. There is a little noise but that is not unexpected. Photos are contracted in JPEG data formatting and this keeps the distortion to minimum. Macro instruction way is weak and we couldnt stress as well as other earphones having discrete macro mode.
In terms of audio quality, the Nokia E73 gets real meretricious at the highest grade and goes very laconic .
