Review Of The Renz Srw 360 Wire Binding Machine
The Renz SRW 360 wire binding machine is a heavy-use book binding machine that is
built to be user-friendly, to have a wide bind diameter, to have a high production output, and to be durable and easy to maintain.
Renz knew what they were doing when they manufactured the SRW 360. This high-output machine was built using state-of-the-art design and function innovations to improve the user experience. These clever features make the machine very intuitive to use, whether the operator has been using a binding machine for years or even if it is their first time touching a binding machine.
The Renz SRW 360 incorporates an ergonomically friendly two-lever system and workflow pattern. These operator-friendly enhancements, along with other function options, like the margin adjustment tool and integrated wire binding holder make the whole binding process, from paper insertion and punching to wire closing more efficient, thus increasing the average operator output.
The manual punching mechanism on the Renz SRW 360 is comprised of 42 disengageable punching pins. This extended number of punching pins gives the machine the capability to accommodate a wider assortment of paper sizes. The punching pins can be engaged or released to match the paper size and eliminate unsightly partial punches along the edges of the project. The punching pins are forged from durable steel and the whole punching mechanism is designed to apply the optimal cutting pressure ratio to create clean, accurate punches. This rugged construction enables the SRW 360 wire binder to punch through a a stack of 22 sheets of paper per punch, or approximately 5000 sheets of paper per hour, depending on operator proficiency.
The design of the this machine even took simplifying the wire closing process into account. This makes wire insertion and closing more efficient. The Renz SRW 360 contains operator assistance tools, including a book thickness gauge, a wire size gauge, a wire holder and a closer adjustment tool. It has a maximum wire closing diameter of 5/8 of an inch. This means this binding machine can create a book, a business proposal, a journal, a business or school report, a legal document or a manuscript that is approximately 135 pages. This machine has a maximum potential output of 180 books per hour.
The SRW 360 3:1 is produced and distributed by Renz International. According to the Renz website, this global market leader in binding machine manufacturing has almost a century worth of experience in designing and producing binding machines and laminating equipment.
Another benefit that this binding machine offers is the modular design it has that can be upgraded from a manual punch machine to an electric punch machine by attaching an optional electric motor drive. It is also easy to maintain and takes up a minimal amount of workspace on a desk or table top.
Based on features and output capabilities, the Renz SRW 360 would be an excellent purchase choice for most printing offices, publishing houses, business development or marketing departments, college or university book stores, or nonprofit agencies.
