Review On Htc Hero

The iPhone had bred a number of copycats and created a trend in touch screen smartphones in today's cell phone industry

. If you are looking for a mobile phone that works like an iPhone but something not overrated, the HTC Hero might just be the phone for you.

HTC Hero (also referred to as G2 Touch) works on an Android platform. If you are comfortable with the Windows Mobile OS, you might be on unfamiliar grounds on an HTC Hero, which is an Android phone. The HTC Hero is actually one of the first phones to use HTC Sense, a user interface for mobile devices running Google Android and the first phone to run Adobe Flash.

Features: One of the best features of the HTC Hero is its multi-touch capability. You can use your fingers or a stylus to switch from window to window. Although this is a touch screen phone, it doesn't really work quite to well with touch (unlike the iPhone) and it works better with a stylus. If there is something to smile about the HTC Hero, it is its big screen size. It has a whopping 3.2 inches multi touch screen with a resolution of 320 x 480 pixels.

For picture addicts and those who want multifunctional functions, the HTC hero boasts of a 5 mega pixel camera with auto focus feature giving you high quality photos on the go. This camera phone can also double up as a video recorder. It is also a good multimedia phone that can store 512 MB of data on ROM with 288 MB RAM and a provision for a micro SD for extra storage space. You can store thousands of contacts and call records to your phone- literally!

The HTC Hero also has great connectivity features. It has GPRS, works on EDGE and Wi-Fi technology, and can connect with other devices via Bluetooth and mini USB. You can also send SMS messages and MMS, e-mail, and instant messaging. You can play music and play MP3 and WAV files. With a 3.5 mm audio jack, you can use it as a portable music player, but surprisingly, it has no built-in radio.

Design: The design and layout of the HTC Hero is also something to brag about. It has a sleek and unique design. The placement of the buttons and the basic aesthetic of the HTC Hero are just flawless. It has a rectangular slant, which is by far, one of a kind. This phone also has a very solid feel when you carry it but it's not really heavy, in fact, it only weights 135 g. The casing has a soft touch to it which makes it comfortable to hold.

Conclusion: If you want an android phone, the HTC Hero is one of the recommended phones that you can try. It comes in a sleek design with amazing features that you can readily use. It comes with different colors that would fit your personality. You can choose from brown, white, black, graphite and pink phones.
