Review of Bose VideoWave's 46-inch HDTV Home Theater System

Read the review of the Bose VideoWave's 46-inch HDTV home theater system that is a complete 5.1-channel surround sound speaker system

. The new home entertainment system called Bose VideoWave has been launched by Bose. Bose introduces the VideoWave entertainment system, which basically combines a HDTV with a complete speaker system built in to the bezel. The VideoWave is a 46-inch Full HD LCD TV and Bose has managed to put 16 speakers, including six woofers, into the surrounding frame. Bose comes with ADAPTiQ audio calibration technology to make sure top standard of sound for your in-room enjoyment. The AdAPTiQ audio calibration system will adapt to room size, shape, your furniture and automatically adjusting the sound level.

The VideoWave system combines sound and picture like never before, delivering cinematic performance from invisible speakers built into an HD display. But it also delivers more. This single, integrated system eliminates a roomful of speakers, wires and complexity. And notable advances in simplicity make it our easiest system ever. It is now available from Bose for $5,439. The Bose control wittles down all the functionality accessed through those devices to just 12 buttons: volume up and down, channel up and down, mute, back, power, mode, a four-way direction button with an OK key in the center, and a touch-sensitive click wheel.

High and low frequencies, too, covered a comfortable range. Bose attributes that bass quality to six high-performance woofers positioned back-to-back in an arrangement that cancels out internal vibration and dodges the risk of damage to the LCD display. Instead PhaseGuide is used to funnel sound out of the device and shot it to other points in the room.
