Although the feeling of touching it is good, but it is very easy to slip away and to absorb fingerprints. Fortunately, there arent many obvious fingerprints left on the white Galaxy Note 10.1. As for its workmanship, it is well done. But during our test, creaks occur from time to time. I hope very much that this problem can be solved before it comes into the market.

Redesigned S Pen

S Pen was first designed in the 5.3-inch Galaxy Note, and it appears again in the original version of Note 10.1, and now it is redesigned in this new generation tablet. The old S Pen is in shape of round, while the new one in shape of square. The new S Pen is shorter that its predecessors and it has no penholder. Theres a button in the side, which enables to achieve the appointed functions.

Its white nip will not scratch the screen in writing, because S Pen can bear pressures. Besides, S Pen has a cool function: The tablet knows clearly where you are pointing to and can help you to select and point to the object without having the S Pen touch the screen.

User Interface

Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1II is equipped with Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich system and its own TouchWiz interface. Moreover, there are many practical user-defined options and convenient shortcuts in it, which facilitates you to know running conditions of multiple tasks.

I am sure many of you have got to know Ice Cream Sandwich interface,. But to strengthen operation experience as a whole, Samsung has modified some devices. In the followings we will talk about its main screen.

S Pen and S series software

S Pen has the same functions of drawing and writing as that of the old one. You can use it to make navigation and to run many operations by the use of gestures and the button on the side. For example, when you paddle S Pen down, menus will be opened.

Now comes the S Memo. S Memo software can help you to take notes by means of graffiti. It provides many styles and colors for choice, and it owns revocation button, rework button and eraser. You can put photos, other Memos or even map into it. Moreover, this software has many high-end functions. For instance, it can recognize shapes, for which it enables you to draw standard square and round; it can even recognize formulas and can give answers accordingly.

As for S Note, it has many built-in pattern plates, which you can employ to design cards or PDF files. Whats more, S Note supports multipage files, and it can integrate many pages into a PDF file.

S Planner, however, is s calendar software. You can check year, month, week, day, agenda and task through different modes. The design of this software is very beautiful and it is very convenient to use. Under the mode of month view, all the arrangements will be displayed under the screen when you click a certain day.

Browser

The browser of Android system works very well, so does ICS system. In Galaxy Note 10.1II, the UI of browser has been modified to better cater to the style of TouchWiz interface, similar to the mobile Chrome browser.

It is very easy to switch or close labels because all the labels are displayed on the top of the interface. On the upper right of the interface is multitask button and extending setting button, where we can start many practical functions, like searching pages or saving off-line webpage.

The browser possesses a special function: When you are searching, the browser will load the page with search results ranking the first in the backstage; therefore, it is faster for you to open the page. Of course, you can make relative settings as for whether to run the function or to close it. Well, if you don' like this kind of interface, you can switch to the quick setup panel among laboratory settings, where we can quickly visit labels, websites, history records or refreshing the page.

In terms of Flash, Galaxy Note 10.1 II can perfectly play 1080p videos online, and can run Flash games smoothly.
