This portable UHF RFID reader, model 246004, provides a smart combination of interfaces for enterprise IT managers wanting to integrate RFID into their systems and is readily integrated with a wide variety of wireless handheld PDAs including Symbol, Intermec, HHP, Psion Teklogix, i-mate Jam and Ipaq. It features full read/write functionality for compatible tags and is compatible with ISO 18000-6b, EPC Class 1 Gen 1 and EPC UHF Gen 2 standard tags.
When used in conjunction with Bluetooth GPS location devices, it provides distances up to 1 m for asset mapping. The data rate is up to 640 kbps. This compact portable proximity reader is available with ActiveX controls for Microsoft Windows application programmers undertaking software integration. It has a built-in antenna and is powered by a rechargeable Lithium-ion battery.
