Rice Owls College Football Tickets And Seating Chart
It is a rare and unusual occasion when a team has the unfortunate distinction of losing every game played at this point in the season
. It is the case with the Rice Owls who have been giving many teams a great run on the field during the games but simply have not been able to walk away with one single victory. Fans and coaches are supportive and regard this incredible streak of bad luck for the Rice Owls as a trend that must end. Many regard Texas as the place where people do big things and this may be the case for the Rice Owls this season who have continued their losing in a big way.
The games left this season in 2009 include SMU on November 7, Tulane on November 14, UTEP on November 21, Houston on November 28 and Conference USA Championship on December 5. Overall statistics show Charles Ross, Jeramy Goodson, Tyler Smith, John Shepherd and Marcus Knox at the top of the list for rushing. Shepherd appears again in the top ranked passing players. Overall scorers are Clar FangMeier, Ross, Toren Dixon, Patri Randolph, Knox and Taylor Dupree.
Many of the names appear in the statistics at the top time and again, giving credence to the believe that many of the Rice Owls have been putting forth a great effort this season but simply haven't been able to make the connection between effort and winning the game. If nothing else, this season has been a rewarding learning experience that the Rice Owls can garner many jewels of wisdom from for next year's season and games. Whether it is a sharper defense, strong offense or combination of the two, fans stand behind their Rice Owls and will be there for them again when it's time to show support.
Rice Stadium has been welcoming fans for 60 seasons and is still going strong as one of the largest stadiums on campus in the country. FieldTurf replaced the surface in 2006, providing players with a professional playing experience. A state of the art scoreboard/video screen is 20 feet high and 35 feet wide with a multi-color messaging board that is 6 feet by 35 feet. Aluminum bleachers were installed and provide seating for 47,000 attendees. Rice Stadium holds a reputation for withstanding the test of time and hosting many fantastic games and other special events.
Rice Stadium is one of the few stadiums in existence that was constructed exclusively for football use and houses complete facilities within stadium walls. To date, football history has been made many times at this great stadium. Seating choices include box seats, lower deck, upper deck and general seating. There are four gates providing entrance to the stadium from all sides.
Fans who want to have a nice view of the Rice side from the bench should choose seating options on the lower deck from sections 102 to 109. The upper deck provides a heightened view from above and let you take in the outdoor ambience as well. Box seats are conveniently situated between the upper and lower decks on both sides of the field. Season tickets can be purchased for seating in most areas and ensure that you don't miss any of the action due to unavailable seating.
There is currently blue tarp overlaying both end zones that may be expanded to a greater seating capacity in the future. This would increase seating to more than 70,000. If you're looking to get out to a game to see the Rice Owls play, there's no time like the present to make it happen with great seats.
