Rimadyl (Carprofen) is a class of NSAIDs (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug) which is used for the treatment of conditions related to the joints of the body (arthritic) in geriatric dogs. This medication can be applied in long term and in short term treatment of joint pain or post- operative inflammations. This medication can be used for treating surgical pain and for reducing fever.
Rimadyl(chewable) for Dogs also reduces or treats the pain or inflammation caused in the hip dysplasia. This medication should only be given to dogs and is not to be used in cats.
How to use this medication on my pet?
Rimadyl dogs medication is available in the form of chewable tablets, injection and caplets. This medication should be given as per the dosage and the frequency suggested by the veterinary doctor. As this medicine can also be used in other treatments, do not give it to the pet without consulting the doctor first. This medication should be given with food while treating the dogs with chewable tablets. Consult the doctor if your dog experiences any uncommon side effects.
